Review: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Rating change: 1 star to 4 stars!!!

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE BOOK:
This first time I read this book: I freaking hated the series. I made it to GoF, and I quite. But this time, I listened via audiobook; and LOVED IT! Stephen Fry is an amazing narrator, who kept it interesting. I thought I was going to rate this 3 stars, but overnight I had this giant smile on my face– so I knew I’d have to give more credit.
However this could be because I’m on double my anti-anxiety medication rn, so if I reread this again, we’ll know.

CHARACTERS/DYNAMICS:
Not as epic as PJO’s trio (yet), but I like the dynamics. They’re the average ones. Everybody knows them, I’m not going to go into depth. I love how sassy Harry is in the books!!! Waaaay better than the movies!

PLOT:
I don’t know if it’s because we all know it, or that I’ve read/seen it before, but it wasn’t as interesting. I still like PJO more so far 🙂

THE ENDING:
I enjoyed it way more than the movie’s ending! And with the audiobook, it made me stay to the end. So thank you, audiobooks!

I frantically downloaded the next 3 books for today!
